Every figure below is either a published rate or named as a planning band. No price is invented, and no package is quoted before its details are confirmed.

United States buyers comparing a ZORUMI quotation against a branded set are comparing two different things. The wording below follows the same rule as the rest of this site: a term is used for a package only when that package’s records support it.
One package, not a stock unit
Each cut is its own length, weight, shade band and texture. That is why a US buyer receives a quotation for a specific package rather than a shelf price for a size.
Fine hair costs more to keep intact
The working thickness for this hair type is about 60 to 80 microns, against 80 to 120 microns for common Asian bulk hair. Lighter, finer strands blend into US fine and medium hair, and they are also what makes the material scarce.
Blonde and pale bands move quickly here
In our own Dubai arrivals, pale beige, pearl and Ombré bands are the ones hardest to replace at length and volume. That is an operational observation from our own stock rather than a published market figure, and it is one reason the same length can quote differently from one package to the next.

What this category costs in the United States.
ZORUMI publishes no universal price, because no two packages are the same. What can be published is the market band a US buyer is choosing inside, so a quotation can be judged against something real.
Specialist Slavic and Russian-origin suppliers
VIP Slavic Hair, a named US specialist vendor, opens its catalogue at 500 dollars per 100 g, and its observed retail for virgin-grade material runs 650 to 1,600 dollars per 100 g. This is the band a ZORUMI package is comparable to.
Mainstream branded US sets
Bellami standard sets run 200 to 400 dollars for a 100 to 150 g set; Bellami professional weft packs are listed 380 to 1,000+ dollars and K-Tips 120 to 160 dollars. Different material, different band.
Dubai market rates
Dubai wholesale for this category starts at 8,500 AED per kilogram from one kilogram, which is 850 AED per 100 g, and Dubai retail reaches 1,300+ AED per 100 g. Dubai salon figures of 15 to 23 AED per gram are extension service rates that may include the application work, so they are not a material price.

The exact package, its preparation into capsules, tapes, wefts or a custom piece, and the delivery route. Courier and customs handling are quoted as separate lines, never hidden inside the hair price.

The exact price depends on hair quality, length, method and amount of work — you get a fixed quote after a short WhatsApp consultation. That figure is the salon service in Dubai, not the price of a shipped hair package.

Dubai to the United States
Transit time is short. The shipping line is not small.
Courier cost does not scale with the order value, so it takes a much larger share of a small package than a large one. It is quoted as its own line for that reason.
Transit time
DHL Express quotes a standard 3 to 4 working days from Dubai to the United States. FedEx International Priority quotes 2 to 3 business days. Customs entry is a separate step on every parcel now, so the door date is confirmed per shipment.
What the rate card actually says
The published DHL Express UAE 2026 grid has no separately verified United States line. The cheapest cell in the whole export grid is 193.99 AED, but that cell is documents only, up to 0.5 kg, zone 1 — it is not reachable for a hair parcel. The usable anchor is 1 kg to Europe at 551.33 AED, about 150 dollars. A US shipment is budgeted at not less than the European figure.
What sits on top
A fuel surcharge of 32 to 48 per cent, updated weekly by DHL, plus a clearance fee of 43 or 200 AED depending on the entry type. Both are courier charges, not ZORUMI margin.

US customs and tax, 2026
The 800 dollar de minimis exemption is gone.
This is the single change a United States buyer needs to know before ordering anything from abroad, and it applies to a sample as much as to a full order.
- Classification. Finished human hair goods — wefts, tape-ins, capsules — are classified under HTSUS 6704.20.0000.
- Duty rate. The general rate for that code is Free, 0 per cent. The duty is not the problem; the process is.
- De minimis. The 800 dollar threshold was suspended on 29 August 2025; a court ruling in August 2026 upheld the suspension, and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 makes the removal permanent from 2027.
- What that means in practice. Every parcel now requires a formal or informal customs entry with a 10-digit HTS code, a licensed US customs broker, and a Merchandise Processing Fee.
- FDA. Hair itself is not regulated as a cosmetic; it is treated as a mechanical article. Accompanying care products such as glues and serums fall under MoCRA and are handled separately.
- California. Proposition 65 applies to goods sold into California and is considered before any shipment to that state.
- Sales tax. State economic nexus thresholds are typically 100,000 dollars of annual sales into a state, which is a seller-side obligation, not a charge added to your parcel.
- Returns. There is no federal right-of-return law in the United States, and hair is treated as a hygiene product. All ZORUMI hair goods and custom hair pieces are non-returnable — see the Refunds and Complaints Policy.
Who files the entry, who is the importer of record and who pays the processing fee are stated in writing for your specific order before payment is accepted. Customs rules change; the position above is the 2026 position and is re-checked per shipment.
